2. Information we receive
- Information you provide: your name, business or organization, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country, project location, project type, timeline, project description, photographs, plans and other information you choose to send.
- Communications: records of emails, calls, quotations, project discussions and other correspondence necessary to respond to you or manage a business relationship.
- Technical information: our hosting and security providers may automatically process limited information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time, referring page, error information and security events.
The website’s inquiry form prepares a message in your email application. The form itself does not save or transmit its contents to Zip-Rush until you choose to send that email.
3. Why we use information
- to respond to inquiries and communicate with prospective and existing clients;
- to assess a proposed site, prepare a preliminary study, quotation or project proposal, and provide requested products or services;
- to manage contracts, deliveries, training, warranty claims and client support;
- to operate, secure, maintain and improve the website and business systems;
- to keep records required for safety, insurance, accounting, tax, legal or regulatory purposes; and
- to establish, exercise or defend legal rights and prevent fraud or misuse.
We collect and use only information reasonably necessary for legitimate and identified purposes, with consent or another lawful basis where required.
4. When information may be shared
We do not sell or rent personal information and do not use it for behavioural advertising. We may disclose only the information reasonably necessary to:
- employees and contractors who need it to perform their duties;
- manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, installers, trainers, freight providers and other project participants involved in the requested work;
- hosting, communications, information-technology, accounting, payment, insurance and professional-advisory providers acting for us;
- government, regulatory, law-enforcement or judicial authorities when disclosure is required or permitted by law; or
- a prospective purchaser or successor in connection with a legitimate business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and use restrictions.
5. Processing outside Québec
Zip-Rush serves international projects and may use suppliers or service providers located outside Québec or Canada. Personal information may therefore be processed in another jurisdiction and may be accessible to its authorities under local law. Before communicating personal information outside Québec, we apply the assessments, contractual safeguards and other protections required by applicable law.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Zip-Rush does not currently use analytics, advertising or profiling cookies on this website. Our hosting and security providers may use strictly necessary technologies to deliver the website, maintain security or control access to a private preview. If we introduce optional analytics or marketing technologies, we will update this policy and provide any notice or consent mechanism required by law.
7. Retention and security
- We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the identified purpose, the business relationship, safety and warranty records, and applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
- When information is no longer required, we securely destroy or anonymize it as required by applicable law.
- We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity and circumstances of the information.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, or request deletion or portability where those rights apply. You may also ask how your information has been used or disclosed and raise a privacy concern.
Send requests to the Privacy Officer at info@zip-rush.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing and may prevent us from providing a requested service.
If a concern is not resolved, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or another privacy authority having jurisdiction.
9. Children
This commercial website is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from them. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information may contact the Privacy Officer.
10. External links
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Zip-Rush does not control those websites or their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, services or legal obligations. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
